This book is a must read for those who want to be inspired to lead and inspire others.”

“This is a stunningly brilliant book. Ann weaves a personal, poignant, and beautiful story that exudes the authentic grace that is her approach to leadership. Whether you are a practitioner, administrator, or advocate who is starting your career or in retirement, read this book so you don’t miss the opportunity to be moved and motivated by Ann’s work.”

Description:

What is your leadership journey? What’s lit your path along the way? What challenges have you had to hurdle? Any unexpected twists, turns, or forks in the road? Did you follow the sign posts or blaze a new trail? Regardless of position, we all have a story or two or three about our journey.

Former NAEYC board member and award-winning early childhood leader Ann McClain Terrell shares lessons she’s learned during her 35+ years in the field. Graceful Leadership in Early Childhood shares how she maintained her signature graceful approach to being a more capable and effective leader in the field of early childhood. Told in a narrative, inspirational, and practical way this is a book that shows how theory/personal experience can be used and put into action. A great resource to turn to when there is a challenge that needs tackling, or if you just need to reflect on your own journey.
