About the Editors:

Jill C. Cash, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, a family nurse practitioner (FNP) for over 24 vears, currently practices at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the Vanderbilt Medical Group at Westhaven Family Practice in Franklin, Tennessee. She is a faculty member for the School of Nursing at Vanderbilt University. She has been a dinical preceptor for NP students for a variety of programs over the past several years. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for the Vanderbilt Program in Interprofessional Leaming, which includes students from other disciplines, including the Vanderbilt Medical School, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacy, and Social Work programs. Her previous experience includes high-risk obstetrics as a clinical nurse specialist in maternal-fetal medicine, as well as practicing as an NP in women’s health, family practice, and rheumatology. In 2017, Ms. Cash was awarded the 2017 American Association of Nurse Practitioners State Award for Excellence in Illinois. Ms. Cash has authored several chapters in a variety of nursing and NP textbooks. She is the coauthor of Family Practice Guidelines (first, second, third, fourth, and fifth editions), Adult-Gerontology Practice Guidelines (first and second editions), and the first edition of Canadian Family Practice Guidelines. Ms. Cash is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.

Cheryl A. Glass, MSN, APRN, WHNP. RN-BC, a women’s health nurse practitioner (NP) for over 22 years, currently practices as a clinical research specialise for KEPRO in TennCare’s Medical Solutions Unit in Nashville, Tennessee. She is also an adjunct faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Previously, Ms. Glass was a clinical trainer and trainer manager for Healthways. Her previous NP practice was as clinical research coordinator on pharmaceutical clinical trials at Nashville Clinical Research. She also worked in a Collaborative Clinical OB Practice with the director and assistant directors of maternal-fetal medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology. Ms. Glass is the coauthor of Family Practice Guidelines (first, second, third, fourth, and fifth editions), Adult-Gerontology Practice Guidelines (first and second editions), and the first edition of Canadian Family Practice Guidelines. She has published five refereed journal articles. In 1999, Ms. Glass was named Nurse of the Year by the Tennessee chapter of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. Ms. Glass is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health.

Jenny Mullen, DNP MSN, FNP-BC, ACHPN, has been a practicing family nurse practitioner (FNP) for over 25 years in internal medicine. Currendy Dr. Mullen is with Advanced Care Group in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is dedicated to serving families and geriatric populations through hospice/ palliative care. Additional experience includes Director of Medical Services with Wellness Solutions Geriatrics, supervising medical healthcare providers in LTC facilities in southern state regions; endocrinology practice at Frist Clinic in Nashville, Tennessee; family practice and behavior health with United Neighborhood Health Services, primarily reaching the uninsured; and family/palliative practice with Holston Medical Group in Kingsport, Tennessee. In addition, she has been a clinical preceptor for NP/physician assistant (PA) students from Tennessee State University, Vanderbilt University, Trevecca Nazarene University, and Belmont University. Dr. Mullen is an adult-geriatric consultant for Adult-Gerontology Practice Guidelines (second edition) and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice. She is an active member of Tennessee Nurses Association/ American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Hospice & Palliative Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
