Reading Book Notes

The book tells an East African traditional tale of how the zebra got its black and white coat. In the beginning all animals were plain and then they each chose their coat and features – except Zebra who was too busy eating sweet grass. Only a small piece of black cloth was left for him and it was too small. It split and his white skin peeped through in stripes.
